Celebrity experts, such as George Clarke from Channel 4's The Home Show and Julia Kendell from DIY SOS, will be giving their advice in the Real Homes Live! Theatre from October 2nd to 4th.

More than 200 specialist companies will also be on hand to give advice and showcase the latest home improvement products, from patio doors to driveways.

Confused homeowners can get answers to their questions at the Ask the Experts area, which will give advice as to where to go for cheap double glazing.

A survey recently carried out by the National Home Improvement Show showed 62 per cent of home-improvements in the UK are funded by personal savings, making cost control an increasingly important issue.

Michael Holmes, spokesperson for event, said: "Budgets are considered by many home-improvers as fluid things with the average extension or loft conversion project going over budget by as much as 30 per cent."

If extending or adding a conservatory, seek a conservatory quote before building commences to avoid going over budget and being out of pocket.
