David Bingham, managing director of UK-based firm Conservatory Land, has claimed that making such a decision is one of the most important in the process, as property owners only get one chance "to get it right".

He went on to explain that there are a range of styles available, such as Edwardian, Victorian or a "traditional" lean-to style, while designs can cover a range of glass fittings.

"I have heard so many times, customers saying that they wish they had purchased a larger conservatory so that there was more room to seat the whole family for dinner or for watching TV, so choose carefully, but don't over do it, it needs to be just right," he added.
