Jeremy Legget from Solarcentury has paid a visit to a home in Norfolk which utilises 26 solar panels to produce its own energy.A leading expert in solar energy has visited a property in Norwich where its owners have introduced a number of eco-home improvements.Jeremy Leggett, head of Solarcentury, paid a visit to Cringleford near Norwich to see a home adorned with 26 solar panels to create electricity and reduce energy costs by over a third, reports Norwich Evening News.Maswood Jalil, owner of the property, told the newspaper he was overjoyed with his home improvements and would "never go back to normal electricity" after eight years with the solar panels.He added: "I've got on with the solar panels very well. I would urge the government to promote carbon free environment and to give some grants or allowances to enable people to feel they can afford it and an incentive to do it."Dr Richard Dixon, director of WWF Scotland, recently told the Scotsman that homeowners who do not improve the energy efficiency of their property should face criminal action.He said a failure to install eco-measures should be classed as "as antisocial as drink driving".
