Shipley Parish Council celebrates installation of cheap double glazingA parish room in Derbyshire has received cheap double glazing and has reopened having been unused for ten years.Shipley Parish Council is enjoying its refurbished parish room following a grant that saw the installation of energy efficient measures, including cheap double glazing.

The £15,500 grant, from energy company E.ON's Sustainable Energy Fund, paid for the room to be fitted with an air source heat pump, insulation in the ceiling, cavity wall and floor, cheap double glazing and dry-lining of the walls.

Built in 1897, the room had stood empty for ten years before reopening recently.

Tony Jenkin Jones, community relations executive for E.ON, said: "This is a great example of how community organisations can benefit from our Sustainable Energy Fund and contribute to a more sustainable, low carbon future."

Meanwhile, R'n'B singer Lemar recently told the Daily Mail that the next stage of his property's redevelopment will include the installation of cheap double glazing.

The 31-year-old songwriter explained that he has already "personalised the decor" of his house in Hertfordshire and made the kitchen larger by knocking down walls.
