Security message spread in Chiltern

Authorities in Chiltern have been warning residents about home securityProperty owners in Chiltern are the latest in the UK to be encouraged to pay attention to home security issues.Homeowners in Chiltern have been urged as part of a major initiative to keep their properties secure over the coming months.

Buckinghamshire's Community Safety Partnership has handed out leaflets and given advice to local residents at a number of events held this week to cut crime in the area.

Among the advice given out is the message that people should always ensure their UPVC windows and doors are locked securely when they go out or head on holiday.

Mike Levine, crime prevention and reduction officer for Chiltern, said: "As we head towards summer, people are out working on their gardens and houses, while burglars enter through the front of the house.

"It's therefore very important to remember to keep your property secure."
