Property owners urged to install double-glazed windows before winter

Property owners urged to install double-glazed windows before winterThe warmth of the summer is fading away and heating bills are set to rise.Property owners have been told that they should install double-glazed windows before the winter fully arrives, thus protecting them from paying high energy bills.

Scott Wells, a spokesperson for Conservatory Outlet, said that over the past few months, people would have got used to the fact that they do not have to rely on their heating systems to keep them warm.

"Most homes will have been heated by the power of the sun but unfortunately the winter period is on its way and Conservatory Outlet urges you to think about changing your old wooden windows now," he stated.

Mr Wells went on to say that it is easy to get used to the warm weather, however, a change to double-glazed windows can keep heat in, ensure draughts stay out and also give a home a new appearance.

According to Michael Holmes, a spokesperson for the National Home Improvement Show, little changes can make a huge difference to the energy efficiency of a property.
