'Perfect time' for cheap double glazing installationThe house buying season will quieten down until the end of the year.Now could be the perfect time to install cheap double glazing, as most people are not looking to buy properties at this time of the year.

David Amstell, founder of Briffy.com, said that it is currently the off-season for house buying, which suggests that between now and the end of the year could be the ideal time to install home improvements, such as cheap double glazing.

"There will still be properties on the market and there still will be buyers but it is not at the full strength – it is like a tap being turned on half. The full strength of the market is finished now for this year," he commented.

According to Rightmove, sellers are also dropping their asking prices for the first time this year, with around 0.6 per cent being taken off the value of a property, which could mean that home improvement fans will want to add cheap double glazing to help their home fetch more money.
