Double glazing is known to cut heat loss, energy use and CO2 emissions, but the leaders of 192 nations are in Copenhagen today to discuss the creation of a global policy to prevent climate change.Today is the first day of the United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen and 192 nations are present to discuss methods of preventing further change, which could include promoting the installation of double glazing.Connie Hedegaard, president of the conference, said that it is important that the countries present find a way to raise and distribute both public and private funds to poor countries, so that they too can fight climate change.Ms Hedegaard said: "This is our chance. If we miss it, it could take years before we got a new and better one."Reducing the use of fossil fuels that create CO2 is to be discussed. Delegates at the conference have been supplied with 60 Citroen C1 ev'ie electric cars so that they can get to and from the venues and around the Danish capital in vehicles that have to potential to drive down future CO2 emissions.Written by Helen Sykes.
