Oldham estate gets double glazing boost

Working as part of a scheme organised by the local council, Frank Haslam Milan (FHM) added the windows and improved insulation as part of work to improve 14 properties.

According to 24dash, the homes were in need of a makeover as they were built in the 1960s using concrete panelling, which often suffers from a major level of degradation.

Local resident William Duckworth said everyone in the area was "thrilled" with the changes.

He added: "The houses used to be cold and damp but all the work done has turned them into warm, quiet modern homes."

Claire Barrett, editor at Grand Designs Magazine recently claimed the summer is the time when most people are likely to undertake home improvement projects, including the installation of double glazing, on their properties.
