Landlords 'should install cheap double glazing'Cheap double glazing is recommended for people who are considering letting out their properties.People who are considering becoming landlords should make sure their properties are energy efficient by installing the likes of cheap double glazing, according to an expert.

Harpreet Garcha, of Belvoir Kettering, told The Move Channel that environmental concerns and the implementation of energy-saving measures are becoming increasingly important in the residential sector.

The expert said that there are a few simple ways that landlords can make sure their properties are energy-efficient.

"These [include] correctly insulating properties, using cavity wall and loft insulation which is a cost-effective way of storing energy," he explained to the news provider.

Mr Garcha recommended cheap double glazing as another good investment, saying it reduces noise pollution and lowers overall heating costs.

In addition, he suggested replacing boilers that are 15 years old or more.

The Residential Landlords Association also recently said that tenants are increasingly seeking properties with energy-efficient features like cheap double glazing.
