Kitchen quotes 'likely to feature energy-saving technology' More people are interested in saving energy because of the recession.The recession could be having a positive effect on the number of people that want to save energy, according to new research.

Now that times are tougher economically, 66 per cent of property owners are more interested in how they can cut costs through conserving power.

This was the conclusion of the latest Attitude Tracker from the Energy Saving Trust, which also showed that 74 per cent of people were currently looking for ways to reduce their energy bills, which might interest those looking for kitchen quotes.

Furthermore, 76 per cent said that saving energy is becoming an expected way of thinking, while 67 per cent agreed that conserving power and money is a 'motivating' factor for people.

Commenting on the study, Matt Hunt, spokesperson for BritishEco.com, said that there is still a desire for people to make their houses environmentally sound, especially if they are being rewarded with fixed tariffs and other incentives.
