Homeowners should not neglect their colour choice when seeking kitchen quotes, an expert has said.Colour should not be neglected when seeking kitchen quotes, as it is a quick and inexpensive way to brighten up a room, an expert has told homeowners.Small changes can go a long way in changing the atmosphere of a kitchen, lfpress.com reported.Jill Wilcox, owner of Jill's Table, said that colours should be bold and striking, as well as complementing existing features that DIY enthusiasts are not planning on altering.Ms Wilcox advised: "Pick an accent colour you love. Red is our number one seller [in the store] and at trade shows. It's available in all lines. Red is a good, punchy colour. It has longevity and is always in style. It is great with black and white and stainless [units]."Other colours that are currently popular include aubergine and cassis – which are purple and deep blue – as well as fig, nutmeg, green pepper and cobalt blue, she added.Last week, Anna-Marie DeSouza from Build It magazine told people that are seeking kitchen quotes that they should not be "afraid to get stuck in" when considering DIY projects.Posted by Glenn Derbyshire
