Kitchen quotes: Add festive cheer with flower arrangements Homeowners looking for kitchen quotes should use fresh flowers in their finished room to bring some festive cheer.An interior designer has suggested that people searching for kitchen quotes should turn their hand to flower arranging to add some seasonal touches to their room.

Karen Howes, co-owner of Taylor Howes Designs, said that would-be home stylists should head to a flower market and choose winter blooms, before adding cinnamon sticks, purple ribbon, baubles and feathers to the base of a wreath.

Ms Howes suggested a "minimal" look for interiors this year would be striking and advised that those wanting to replicate a "Narnia-theme" in their property should forgo the Christmas tree in favour of willow branches in a tall glass vase.

"In the country, it is all red and green and I raid the hedgerows for holly and ivy and then hang a large clump of mistletoe at the bottom of the stairs," she added.

Earlier this week, Jill Papworth told Daily Mail readers that they can find small Christmas trees for as little as £1 if they are looking for festive cheer on a budget.
