Homeowners seek the 'wow factor' for kitchen quotes People looking for kitchen quotes seek the "wow factor" when choosing their designs, an expert has said.Homeowners are increasingly looking for the "wow factor" when selecting features for their kitchen quotes, according to an expert.

Ronnie Whelan, editor of Essential Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom, said that the popularity of celebrity chefs has had a "huge influence" in making people want to improve their kitchens in order to make them more entertainment-friendly.

Ms Whelan advised people wanting to look for kitchen quotes in the new year to properly research their cabinetry and appliance options.

She explaned: "It is a big investment and you don't want to get it wrong."

Last month, Kitchens International reported that homeowners are likely to try and mix and match styles in their interior design in 2011, in order to create a "highly individual and bespoke" look for their kitchens.

The recent Modern Kitchens report by LV= also revealed that the kitchen is now the most expensive room in the home, with the average space and features costing almost £4,000.
