Property owners who have taken advantage of the government's Warm Front scheme to get insulation or double glazing are happy with the results, according to a report.New research has found those who have claimed funding for insulation or cheap double glazing through the government's Warm Front scheme are satisfied with the service. The report by the Public Accounts Committee said cost comparision for seven of the most common installation works are competitive, while people are generally happy with the outcome. However, it also suggested that the scheme is struggling to reach those in fuel poverty, which could impact on efforts to improve energy efficiency in the UK.Edward Leigh MP, chairman of the committee, said: "It is unclear whether the primary aim of the Scheme is to improve the energy efficiency of homes or to reduce fuel poverty. "If the latter, then the Scheme is certainly still missing the mark a lot of the time, with only about a third of the genuinely fuel poor qualifying for help."The Warm Front scheme was originally launched in 2000.
