As part of a new scheme launched by Eastlands Homes, 40,000 properties will have home improvements done to their properties to keep them safer and warmer for those living there.

The £15 million home improvement scheme will incorporate homes in the Gorton North, Gorton South, Levenshulme, Longsight and Rusholme areas.

External UPVC doors and new double-glazed windows will be installed, with the firm claiming new kitchens and bathrooms could also be installed if necessary.
