Londoners have the chance to ask policy makers to include free double glazing in new climate action plans.Homeowners in England's capital now have the opportunity to ask London policy makers to include free installation of double glazing windows in the city's climate action plans.London homeowners could see double glazing installation included in the city's climate action plans if they highlight their interest in these energy-saving features at a mass public consultation.

Mayor of London, Boris Johnson has called upon those living in the country's capital to share their views on climate change and upload ideas on how to tackle it, which could include the provision of free double glazing.

Mr Johnson said that, to improve the quality of life of Londoners, care for the environment and to save money, homes and workplaces need to be made more energy-efficient.

'This cannot be tackled only with top down solutions from politicians but through a collective response. We want to galvanise Londoners into giving us their thoughts and views," he said.

Last month it was announced that houses in the London borough of Havering are to get double glazing windows, having secured £9 million of Decent Homes funding.
