Fair highlights latest kitchen quote designs and trends Those seeking kitchen quotes have been told which styles to consider this year.The latest designs and trends for those seeking kitchen quotes have been highlighted at the Eurocucina fair.

Pernilla Johansson, design director for Electrolux Asia Pacific, told the firm's website that there were six important trends which are likely to shape design in the coming years.

"The open kitchen trend, in which the kitchen is integrated with the living space, will continue. Our fragmented world drives this trend. When there was no internet and only a few TV channels, families ate dinner together in the kitchen before gathering around the TV in the living room," she said, adding that today, we are all too busy with our own things to do this.

Therefore it is necessary to break down the walls and open up homes for togetherness.

Other trends which came out of the Milan-based show, included sparse surfaces, hidden appliances and smart lights.

Claire Pascoe, director of Pascoe Interiors, recently stated that wood has a "key place" in every home, including the kitchen.
