Stroud-based bathroom designer Alison Ebanks has been nominated for an award after designing a high-tech en-suite.People considering bathroom quotes should think about the small details which make a design special.Bathroom designer Alison Ebanks is one of three nominees for the Contract Designer of the Year prize at Designer magazine's 2010 Design Awards and says that elegant touches were the key to her success, the Stroud News and Journal has reported.Ebanks submitted an en-suite bathroom development for consideration by the judges. Her client wanted their "dream bathroom", which included remodelling the room, installing sensor-operated LED lights and using glass and mirrors for a sparkling effect.She told the newspaper: "I paid so much attention to all of the details so I am pleased my efforts have been recognised by the judges, as well as by the client."The Design Awards is in its seventh year, and is aimed at promoting excellence in design in the home.Tim Doherty, managing director of the National Self Build & Renovation Centre has advised that with any renovation project you should always plan and prepare properly and shop around for bathroom quotes.Posted by Helen Sykes
