Double glazing coming to Wrexham homes

Properties in Wrexham are to be fitted with double glazing, it has been revealed A number of homes in Wrexham are to be given double glazing under a new scheme organised by the local government, it has been revealed.Property owners in Wrexham could have double glazing installed by the local council under new plans.

The Welsh Assembly Government has freed up around £3.7 million for refurbishment work and the areas of Brymbo and Broughton have been designated as areas that will receive some of the funding.

According to the Daily Post, double glazing will be offered to homeowners, alongside insulation and roofing work.

Marc Williams, Wrexham County Borough Council's service manager for housing, said: "We generally have very good participation with these schemes.

“The work can help with heating bills and maintaining good health."

According to the Independent newspaper, double glazing and insulation are "by far" the best measures that can be used to improve the energy efficiency and green credentials of homes.
