New windows are to be installed at a village hall in Gloucestershire A village hall in Gloucestershire has received a boost after getting funding for major refurbishment work.Double glazing is to be installed at a village hall in Gloucestershire as work begins to improve the energy efficiency of the site.

Weston-sub-Edge's Hall of Friendship has been given a £22,000 grant from the region's Environmental Trust Company to replace the old window frames with new materials.

According to the Cotswold Journal, the site will also be given a makeover and become draught-proof.

Speaking to the newspaper, a spokesperson for the hall said the grant would provide a welcome boost to the local area.

The source added: "The village hall provides the only social and business meeting place in the village and its sustainability is vital to the local community."

Details about the plans have come after it was confirmed that North Glasgow Housing Association is providing double glazing to all of its tenants as part of a £1.5 million project. ADNFCR-2394-ID-19164446-ADNFCR
