Homeowners should allow themselves to learn from past DIY mistakes and take on new projects after receiving kitchen quotes, an expert has advised.People should not be put off by past DIY mistakes when considering future projects, such as updating their cooking space with kitchen quotes, an expert has said.Anna-Marie DeSouza, editor at Build It magazine, said that it is a "real shame" that people are dissuaded away from home improvement tasks by previous experiences. She added that completing DIY work can provide "so much joy" to the people involved in the project, and enables homeowners to take pride in their work by enjoying it every day.Ms DeSouza said: "The best advice I can give to people is don't be put off; just be prepared. Get some advice and read up about the task before commencing. We've all had disasters in the past, but you learn from your mistakes."Earlier this month, Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank reported that £235 million was spent by British DIY enthusiasts last year to correct errors in home improvement work.Posted by Liam Cass
