Design couple come up with dream home A couple of designers have carried out a big home improvement project.Two designers have managed to produce their dream property after carrying out a massive home improvement project.

The Journal Star reported how Jill and Dan Grasso, an interior expert and architect respectively, came up with the plans after deciding that this abode would last them a lifetime.

Designing the cooking space, Ms Grasso included a laundry room near a galley kitchen, which features a long wall of cabinets and counter space for efficiency.

"Instead of selecting a specific colour palette, they chose a palette of materials that would be used throughout the house. Black glass and porcelain tiles and maple floors were used in a variety of ways," said the news provider.

Ms Grasso advised others in a similar position that it is important to keep things simple and also easy to clean and keep in good condition.

Recently, Juliet Kinchin, curator of the Counter Space: Design and the Modern Kitchen exhibition, told the New York Times that women have "reshaped" how cooking spaces are designed.
