GreenMoves claims energy efficient homes are still in demand and are not affected by the troubles disturbing the rest of the property market.Energy efficient homes are not affected by the troubles currently facing the property market in the UK, according to GreenMoves. The firm was speaking after Chancellor Alistair Darling announced in his Budget this week (April 22nd) that £100 million of funding would be given to local authorities to build new green properties.Julian Brooks, managing director of GreenMoves, said the market for green homes is still experiencing "serious interest" and demand is "still there" as it is "slightly insulated from the problems that conventional builder products have".This statement could result in Brits looking at home improvements to make their properties more energy efficient before placing them on the market.Speaking about the green housing market, he added: "It's holding up and there is still a desire or an interest in the market for products like that, that are different."Ed Miliband, energy and climate change secretary, recently said that homeowners in the UK are "enthusiastic and positive" about the need for making their properties greener. He was speaking at the launch of the government's Great British Refurb project.
