A real estate commentator has said that people can quickly and easily expand their home by remodelling their garage with insulation and cheap UPVc windows. If moving home is not an option, people should consider expanding their living space into their garage, a commentator has said.Writing for nwi.com, Barbara Ballinger said that garage refurbishment is becoming increasingly popular, with those looking to make their outbuildings energy-efficient by bringing about changes, such as installing cheap UPVc windows.Ms Ballinger said that insulation is of ultimate importance when trying to "green" a garage, as the nature of the rudimentary buildings mean that it can be difficult to regulate their heat. She explained: "Garages are hot in the summer and cold in the winter, so start the green-minded upgrades by focusing on improving the garage's shell ... Consider products from insulation manufacturers that are recycled and make walls and ceilings more energy-efficient."Earlier this month, broadcaster James Max said that now was an ideal time to invest in the home, by making upgrades such as fitting new cheap UPVc windows or getting new bathroom quotes.Posted by Tim Lloyd
