Cheap uPVC windows: Everyone becoming greenerThere are more people looking for environmentally-friendly products for the home.More property owners are becoming environmentally conscious and looking to buy green products for the home, such as cheap uPVC windows, according to an expert.

Alison Coleman, marketing manager for Magnet, said that "everyone" is becoming more aware of the need to protect the environment - and this is being reflected in every purchase for the home.

Referring to eco-friendly worktops, which might be included in kitchen quotes, Ms Coleman said that these are being made from both recycled and green natural materials.

"The stylish and durable worktops are partly made from recycled consumer waste such as mirror, porcelain sinks, baths and tiles, and from industrial waste such as ash from power plants and stone scrap from quarries and workshops," she added.

Her words came after research from Ikea found that the kitchen is set to remain the hub of the family, with more people also wanting to have an energy-efficient and green cooking space.
