Cheap double glazing highlighted as way to make eco-friendly changesChanging the windows of a property can help to save money.Property owners who are looking to improve the energy efficiency of their property have been told that installing cheap double glazing is one way of doing this.

George Clarke, presenter of Channel 4's The Home Show and The Restoration Man, told the Daily Telegraph that the best way to make properties more sustainable is to adopt a holistic approach.

"There is a perception that eco-designed homes are newbuilds, with a lot of hi-tech modern features. But all homes need to become eco-homes if we are to reduce carbon emissions in line with the Kyoto Protocol," he added.

Mr Clarke went on to say that when people look at the potential energy savings which can be made from cheap double glazing, every home in the country ought to swap their windows.

He commented that this approach should apply to old properties as well as new ones.

Last week, the Daily Mail highlighted how cheap double glazing can be used in garden sheds, making them into offices rather than a place to keep tools.
