Cheap double glazing door part of Homeowners should look to improve the energy efficiency of their home.Installing a cheap double glazing door could be part of the "behavioural changes" to a property which will help to improve its energy efficiency, according to an industrial expert.

Dr Hasim Altan, from the University of Sheffield and Emma Thompson, from E.ON, were giving advice to people looking to save on energy bills in their property.

"Depending on what rate their property is currently, they can actually step forward by just making the fundamental changes and the fundamental improvements [such as] insulating and weatherproofing," said Dr Altan.

Furthermore, Ms Thompson added that people should look to use the money that they save on heating during the summer to carry out improvements, such as installing a cheap double glazing door.

She also gave a number of practical tips, such as leaving curtains open on hot days to heat a room and hanging clothes outside instead of using the tumble dryer during summer months to improve a property's energy efficiency.
