Buckingham Palace to get double glazing quotesThe benefits of double glazing are being highlighted by Buckingham Palace.The green benefits of getting double glazing quotes and having new windows installed are being highlighted by one of the UK's most famous residences.

EnergySavingTrust.org.uk, reported on the energy efficient refurbishments which Buckingham Palace is set to undergo, which includes double-glazed windows.

"Buckingham Palace has no less than 775 rooms, comprising 19 state rooms, 52 royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. The savings made though the home improvements could therefore be much larger," the website stated.

It went on to say that the average family can save around £135 each month on energy bills by swapping single pane windows for double-glazed ones.

Dave McEvoy, chair of WERA, recently told BalhamPeople.co.uk that the Weir Estate in Lambeth, will soon benefit from double glazing installations.

He added that he was delighted that residents will be able to live in safer and warmer accommodation, while also allowing people to save on their energy bills.
