Designing a heritage-styled home requires a combination of modern and vintage elements, people seeking bedroom quotes have been told.Decorating older properties in a way that reflects their age requires a balance of old and new features, those searching for new bedroom quotes have been advised.Calgary Herald reported that Lisa and Tom Buck's Elbow Park home, which was built in 1929, is a combination of vintage arts and crafts and their own "heritage-inspired designs".Ms Buck explained: "I've always thought it was important to decorate the home with the age of the house in mind. I don't like the idea of gutting a heritage home and replacing the old with new. I think there should be a balance between the two styles."She added that when seeking kitchen quotes for the house, she purposefully incorporated environmentally-sound features, as well as more traditional elements.Today, the Scotsman reported that a new stylebook, called Living Modern: The Sourcebook of Contemporary Interiors, has told homeowners that modern-looking design does not always require "monochrome and glass".Posted by Glenn Derbyshire
